Jump Start 2 Literacy seeks to build foundational reading skills in all preschool aged children with a special emphasis on those deemed at greatest risk of reading failure. Those children include:

• Children from low-income families

• English Language Learners

• Those identified as having a Special Education Need (SEN)

• Those who suffer from conditions that interfere with their ability to interpret text

• Children who face significant barriers to interactive reading experiences.
